Verse 22

We are down to the last three verses, ladies!  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that the holidays give you some extra time to spend in His Word.  :)

James 1:17 NIV
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Thanks, Deb, for setting this up, & Merry Christmas to all of you!

  4. “The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭116:6-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ (another version says that He has "dealt bountifully with you").

I have not been able to relax or rest recently (insomnia grips me at times) and my daughter is sick today (pinkeye and flu) so I'm feeling weary, anxious. So this verse I found this morning- I say it as a prayer, that God will protect me, to save me when I am low, to help me return to rest (in my soul and physical rest), and I thank Him that he has been good to me / us. We have been bountifully blessed.

  7. Still working through the Romans 12 passage, though to squeeze it in the passages are getting a bit long, but I am finding they are great reminder of how we need to live as Christians. I am working on remembering what we are called to be and not specific wording. 'Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.' Romans 12:14-16 (ESV)

    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:10-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬
