This is verse 12 out of 24! You're halfway there! I'm going to take a shorter verse this time and try to spend a lot of time in review.
Last time Allison's verse stood out to me, so I copied it: "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him." So this week I'm going to add on the next verse:
Proverbs 30:6 (ESV) "Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."
"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NIV)
ReplyDeleteAh Lord God! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You!
ReplyDeleteJeremiah 32:17
'Teach me good judgement and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.' Psalms 119:66 (ESV)
ReplyDelete"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
ReplyDeleteI was inspired by the VBS songs this week. :)
Ephesians 4:17-18, "Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
ReplyDeletePsalm 121:1-6
ReplyDeleteI lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade in your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
ReplyDeleteneither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand" Proverbs 19:21 ESV
ReplyDelete"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: my refuge, my fortress, my place of safety; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91: 1&2
ReplyDelete"Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." James 1:22
ReplyDelete“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
ReplyDelete1 Peter 5:7 ESV
I've been memorizing but keep forgetting to post! Here's my current one and my last one. :)
ReplyDelete“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
Colossians 3:23-24 ESV
and...
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?””
Hebrews 13:5-6 ESV
